Privacy
How jobreel handles your data and your customers' photos.
What we store
Your business details and brand kit; the job photos you upload; the captions and reels we generate from them; the status of each post; and encrypted access tokens for the social accounts you connect (Google Business Profile, Facebook, Instagram).
Photos and personal information
Job photos can contain personal information — faces, house numbers, licence plates. We strip all location (EXIF/GPS) metadata from every photo the moment it's uploaded, before anything else touches it, and we never publish a homeowner's address or exact location. Photos flagged as showing a face or address always require your explicit approval before posting.
Where it's stored (cross-border)
Data is hosted in the United States (Supabase / AWS). If you or your customers are in Canada, this means personal information is processed outside Canada, as permitted under PIPEDA with these disclosures.
How long we keep it
Original uploads are deleted after 30 days. EXIF-stripped photos and your content are kept while your account is active. When you close your account, all your data is deleted within 30 days.
Social account tokens
Access tokens are encrypted (AES-256-GCM) at rest and used only to publish on your behalf. Disconnecting an account removes its tokens immediately.
Deleting your data
Email privacy@jobreel.app to request deletion, or disconnect an account to remove its data. Facebook and Instagram users can also trigger deletion through Meta; we honour those requests automatically.
Effective 8 July 2026. If we change how we handle your data, we'll update this page and tell you before the change takes effect. Questions: privacy@jobreel.app.
